Welcome to Our Lady of the Sacred Heart International (OLSH) School, a Catholic, co-educational, P-12 school founded by the MSC Sisters in 1959, in Kavieng New Ireland, Papua New Guinea.
“I have come that you may have life; life to the full" (John 10:10)
As a Catholic school we are inspired and guided in our daily mission of educating every student entrusted to our care, by the life, mission and proclaiming of the Good News by our Lord Jesus Christ and the charism of the MSC Sisters.
At OLSH International, we want our students to be happy and to attend school regularly. Every day marks a fresh start to learning. We have high expectations of our students, to achieve their best every day in every lesson and in their co-curricular activities. We aim to educate citizens for the future, who will approach life outside OLSH with courage to deal with their challenges and with confidence to make a difference in our nation and our world.
We are an international school because we offer an international standard of education through a blended Australian Curriculum (ACARA) from P-10 and the PNG National Curriculum at Years 11 and 12. Our students have the opportunity to experience the richness of the blended curriculum in their formation to become citizens of the world, who know how to become good at life.
Every day is Open Day at OLSH International School. Visitors are always welcome to see high quality learning in our classrooms.
